YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Legal Newsline) — Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced May 22 that his office has taken action to protect consumers, filing a complaint against George N. Krinos, who does business as Doors, Kitchens and More Construction Co., for allegedly failing to deliver promised home improvement services to consumers.

According to DeWine’s office, Krinos did business under the personal name “George Nicholis” and the business name Windows, Doors, Kitchens and More. He purported to offer home improvement work in northeast Ohio, and Krinos, specifically, claimed to focus on roofing services and home remodeling.

Krinos allegedly completed shoddy work on his projects, if he completed any work at all, after taking money from consumers. Consumers purportedly lost a total of about $12,200 to Krinos’ scams.

DeWine seeks reimbursement for these consumers, as well as injunctive relief to prevent Krinos and his business from violating consumer protection laws in the future.

DeWine’s office filed the lawsuit in the Mahoning County Common Pleas Court. In its news release, DeWine’s office noted that consumers should contact it if they suspect an unfair or deceptive sales practice.
