NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) — A New Jersey man is suing a legal funding business, alleging breach of contract.

Robert Tansey filed a complaint April 14 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Pegasus Legal Funding LLC, alleging the defendant has refused to pay the plaintiff's earned commission.

According to the complaint, Tansey was damaged monetarily from not being paid his commission for performing his work for the defendants. The plaintiff alleges Pegasus Legal Funding breached its contractual agreement with the plaintiff by refusing to properly compensate him.

Tansey seeks to declare that he owes no further duties to the defendant, damages, court costs and all further relief the court grants. He is represented by attorneys L. Reid Skibell and Evan W. Bolla of Harris, St. Laurent & Chaudhry LLP in New York.
