LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) — A California man has filed a class action lawsuit against an ink company, alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
Vahe Messerlian filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated March 30, in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against The Toner Doctor and Does 1 through 10, alleging they contacted the plaintiff in an effort to offer products and services.
According to the complaint, in March 2015, Messerlian was called on his phone despite not being a previous customer of The Toner Doctor. The plaintiff alleges the defendants called him despite not having any business relationship or permission to call him.
Messerlian seeks trial by jury, $500 in statutory damages for negligent violations, $1,500 in treble damages for knowing violations and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Todd M. Friedman of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman, PC in Woodland Hills, California.
