Class action filed against Bargain Bunch

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Legal Newsline) — A California consumer has filed a class action lawsuit against Bargain Bunch, alleging negligent misrepresentation.

Licia Camara of Stanislaus County, filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, April 5 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Bargain Bunch, alleging the defendant misrepresents its product in order to induce consumers.

According to the complaint, in June 2016, Camara purchased a fountain online for her home in Modesto but did not receive the product. The plaintiff alleges Bargain Bunch has failed to deliver the fountain Camara purchased even after being contacted several times.

Camara seeks trial by jury, ordering the defendant to engage in a corrective advertising, actual damages, restitution, punitive damages, statutory enhanced damages, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants.
