SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Legal Newsline) — Two California consumers have filed a class action lawsuit against beauty product manufacturers, alleging negligent misrepresentation.

Laverne Young and Lavonne Carroll filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Feb. 24 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California against Nature's Elite, Inc., Gold Elements Valencia, Inc., and Premier Retail Group, Inc., and Does 1- 10, alleging they made false claims regarding the effectiveness of its skincare products.

According to the complaint, Laverne Young and Carroll suffered monetary damages from being misled into purchasing a falsely advertised product. The plaintiffs allege the defendants made false claims that their skincare product could provide a non-surgical face lift.

Young and Carroll seek trial by jury,  enjoin the defendant, provide corrective advertising, restitution, disgorgement, actual damages, all damages, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Gillian L. Wade, Sara D. Avila and Marc A. Castaneda of Milstein Jackson Fairchild & Wade LLP in Los Angeles, and by Michael Fraser of The Fraser Law Firm PC in Granite City, California.
