CLEVELAND (Legal Newsline) — Two Ohio men are suing a helicopter transport company, alleging breach of contract and unfair competition.
Billy Byler and Donald Reid filed a complaint Feb. 6 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio against
Air Methods Corporation, CT Corporation System and Rocky Mountain Holdings LLC, alleging they overcharged for their helicopter services.
According to the complaint, Byler and Reid suffered monetary damages from being overcharged. Byler alleges he was charged $25,344.30 for being transported 36 miles from a hospital in Warren, Ohio, to another hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, following an accident March 29, 2012. The plaintiffs allege the defendants charged significantly higher for their services than a helicopter rental does.
Byler and Reid seeks trial by jury, damages plus interest, restitution, disgorgement, enjoin the defendant, all actual, general, special, incidental, statutory, punitive damages, alegal fees and all other relief the court deems just.
