LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) — A California woman is suing Hair Club for Men, alleging invasion of privacy and violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Carneisha Forney of Lancaster filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Dec. 29 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Hair Club for Men Ltd., Inc. and Does 1 through 10, alleging they illegally called the plaintiff's cellular telephone several times using an automatic telephone dialing system.

According to the complaint, in July 2015, Forney received several unwanted calls on her cellular telephone despite being on the do not call registry since 2014. The plaintiff alleges the defendants attempted to solicit their services to the plaintiff by placing several phone calls to her cellular telephone despite the plaintiff's request to cease calling her.

Forney seeks trial by jury, $500 in statutory damages for each call violation, $1,500 in treble damages, and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by attorneys Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon and Meghan E. George of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman PC in Woodland Hills, California.
