SAN FRANCISCO (Legal Newsline) — A Washington man is suing Uber, alleging breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation.
Lenza H. McElrath III filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Dec. 19 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Uber Technologies Inc. alleging the defendant made false promises to the plaintiff on a standardized employment agreement.
According to the complaint, McElreath suffered monetary damages from being promised investment stock options that Uber did not provide.
McElrath seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of at least $5 million, double damages, restitution, disgorgement, injunctive relief, punitive and exemplary damages, court costs and interest plus all further relief the court grants.
