LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) — A California consumer is suing J. Crew, alleging breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation.
Dana Delman of Ventura County filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Dec. 13 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against J. Crew Group, Inc., J. Crew International Inc. and Millard Drexler, alleging they misled consumers into buying products advertised as "discounted."
According to the complaint, Delman suffered monetary damages from being misled into purchasing falsely labeled apparel. The plaintiff alleges the defendants say their items are being sold at discounted prices but, in actuality, are being sold at Crew's retail prices.
Delman seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages plus interest, injunction against the defendants, court costs and all further relief the court grants. She is represented by attorney David Lake of Law Offices of David N. Lake in New York, by Laurence D. Paskowitz of The Paskowitz Law Firm in New York, and by Roy L. Jacobs of Roy Jacobs & Associates in New York.
