Utah couple accuse Paypal, hotel management of negligent representation

LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) — A Utah husband and wife are suing Paypal and a hotel business, alleging negligent misrepresentation.

Helen Renee Traylor and Michal Traylor of Davis County Utah, filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated Oct. 14 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Paypal, Inc. and Wyndham Hotel Management, Inc., and Does 1-10, alleging the defendants obtained $4,800 from plaintiff's account without their consent.

According to the complaint, the defendants allowed Wyndham to acquire funds from the plaintiff's account and refused to return the money.

The Traylors seek trial by jury, full restitution, punitive damages, statutory enhanced damages of $1,000 for the plaintiffs and for each member of the class, court costs, interest and all other relief the court grants. They are represented by attorneys Todd M. Friedman, Adrian R. Bacon, Meghan E. George and Thomas E. Wheeler of Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman, P.C. in Woodland Hills, California.
