Home Run Inn Frozen Foods' products accused of having GMOs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Legal Newsline) — Two Florida consumers are suing Home Run Inn Frozen Foods, alleging negligent misrepresentation.

Brian Street and Sebastian Heguaburo filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Oct. 14 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida against Home Run Inn Frozen Foods Corp., alleging the defendant falsely advertised its food products to consumers.

According to the complaint, Street and Heguaburo sustained monetary damages from purchasing frozen food items that was falsely advertised. The plaintiffs allege Home Run Inn Frozen Foods made false allegations that its products were made from natural ingredients despite having genetically modified and hexane-processed ingredients.

Street and Heguaburo seek trial by jury, declaratory relief, restitution and disgorgement, ordering the defendant to engage in a corrective advertising, damages, court costs and all further relief the court grants. They are represented by attorney Tim Howard of Howard & Associates PA in Tallahassee.
