BOSTON (Legal Newsline) - Car-sharing company Zipcar is suing a former employee, alleging he disclosed confidential information to his new employer.

Zipcar Inc. filed a lawsuit Sept. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts against Scott Hall, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Zipcar suffered financial damages of at least $75,000 because Hall, a former Zipcar general manager and a key strategic leader, breached his contractual obligation with the plaintiff by disclosing confidential and trade secrets to Maven Drive LLC, his new employer.

Zipcar seeks actual damages, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just.

It is represented by attorneys Melissa L. McDonagh and Paul J. Kennedy of Littler Mendelson PC in Boston and Washington, D.C.
