NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) — Consumers are suing a Florida hair care business, alleging false advertising that its products can repair hair damage.

Jocelyn Morales and Jane Does 1-100 filed a class action lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated Aug. 15 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Better Planet Brands LLC, doing business as Acure Organics of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, alleging negligent misrepresentation.

According to the complaint, Morales and Jane Does 1-100 sustained damages from being misled into buying a falsely advertised hair care product. The plaintiffs allege the defendant said its product can repair hair damage when it does not.

The plaintiffs seek a trial by jury, restitution and disgorgement, plus interest, court costs and all relief the court grants. They are represented by attorneys C.K. Lee and Anne Seelig of Lee Litigation Group PLLC in New York.
