WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Legal Newsline) — Seven consumers are suing a Pompano Beach refrigerator company, alleging several models of gas absorption refrigerators are defective.
Brandy Varner, Michael Link, Robert Corwin, Donald Shepherd, Bobbi Shepherd, Michael Acosta and Ann Field filed a class action lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, June 24 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Dometic Corporation alleging design defect and product liability.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs all suffered financial damages from acquiring defective refrigerators. The plaintiffs allege Dometic failed to disclose the defective nature of the product to consumers.
The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, appropriate damages, enjoin the defendant from continued sale of a defective product, injunctive and declaratory relief, a refund of all unjust benefits plus interest, and order the defendant to repair and replace the defective refrigerators.
