TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Legal Newsline) — Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced her office has sent a letter to Frontier Communications Corporations seeking better customer service on behalf of Floridians.

Frontier recently purchased Verizon Communications wireless properties in different parts of Florida and, since that time, more than 100 consumers have complained about its service.

“The problems created during Frontier’s acquisition of Verizon are leaving some Florida seniors without the security services they paid for and, to complicate matters, without telephone service. Many of them may not even be able to dial 911 in case of an emergency,” Bondi said. “I asked Frontier to do the right thing, fix these problems as soon as possible, and issue refunds to all consumers who have experienced an interruption in their services without the customer having to request a refund.”

In addition to complaints about the quality of service they received in regards to Internet, security, phone and television services, consumers also found issue with their wait times on the phone with Frontier. Consumers allegedly have had to wait on hold for hours.
