MISSOULA, Mont. (Legal Newsline) – The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced that Bibliologic LTD will be forced to surrender all of its assets due to its role in an alleged landline phone bill cramming operation.
According to the FTC, a company called American eVoice LTD and co-defendants placed unnecessary charges amounting to $70 million on consumer landline telephone bills. Millions of dollars of these illegal gains purportedly went to Bibliologic.
As part of the settlement resolving the case, Bibliologic will surrender a large tract of land, the contents of multiple bank and investment accounts, gold and silver, and several vehicles.
The FTC voted 4-0 to approve the stipulated final order.
