OKLAHOMA CITY (Legal Newsline) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt says he is pressing charges against a local roofing contractor due to allegations of embezzlement.
Ryan Christopher Veirs runs Oklahoma roofing contractor businesses, the Veirs Group LLC and Dr. Roofing LLC.
Pruitt’s Consumer Protection Unit received a complaint relating to the way Veirs operated.
The state, after looking into the matter, charged Veirs with embezzling thousands of dollars from a Yukon family.
According to the charges, a resident of Yukon contracted Veirs to make roof repairs and paid $12,000. Veirs allegedly subcontracted the project to another company but never paid it for the work.
