TRENTON, New Jersey (Legal Newsline) - A Long Island corporation is suing a glass products company, alleging it sent unsolicited fax advertisements.

Morgan & Curtis Associates of Hicksville, New York, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a class action lawsuit March 10 in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey against Bear Glass Inc. of Brooklyn and Bear Glass New Jersey, Inc. of Tinton Falls, alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the New York General Business Law.

The suit alleges the defendants have sent more than 5,000 unsolicited and solicited fax advertisements for their goods and/or services to persons throughout the United States, and these faxes did not contain proper opt-out notices.

Morgan & Curtis Associates and others in the class seek statutory damages, treble damages and injunctive relief. They are represented by attorney Aytan Y. Bellin of Bellin & Associates in White Plains, New York.
