LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) - A California man is suing Quaker Oats, alleging it mislabels certain products.
Darren Eisenlord of Los Angeles County, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a class action lawsuit March 1 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against The Quaker Oats Company and Does 1-5, alleging fraudulent inducement and violations of California business and civil codes.
The suit states Quaker Oats manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells a variety of Quaker Oats maple & brown sugar instant oatmeal products. The lawsuit alleges the defendant mislabels these products, as they do not contain any maple syrup or maple sugar.
Eisenlord and others in the class seek declaratory and injunctive relief, actual damages, equitable relief, interests, attorney fees and other costs.
