GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Legal Newsline)—A law firm is suing an eyewear company over claims it sent unsolicited fax advertisements.

Golden Law Offices, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a class-action lawsuit on Jan. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan Southern Division against U.S. Vision, doing business as Meijer Optical, alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

The suit alleges the defendants sent Golden Law Offices and others in the class unsolicited fax advertisements without the recipients' consent. The suit further alleges these faxes did not contain an opt-out notice, as required by the TCPA.

The plaintiff and others in the class seek damages, injunctive relief and costs of the suit. They are represented by attorney Curtis C. Warner of Warner Law Firm in Park Ridge, Illinois.
