Nintendo facing patent infringement lawsuit

WILMINGTON, Del. (Legal Newsline) - Delaware company Round Rock Research LLC is suing Nintendo, the world's largest video game company, for allegedly infringing its patents.




Round Rock alleges in its Dec. 17 complaint that Nintendo Company Ltd. and Nintendo of America violated patent laws through the ongoing distribution of various products that incorporate graphical processing units, ARM processors and other semiconductor components, including the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Wii Mini, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS products.




The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.




The plaintiff is seeking compensation, plus interest.
