KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Legal Newsline) - Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster announced on Wednesday that he obtained a $344,000 judgment against a Texas-based home contractor who allegedly failed to deliver contracting services.

JD Global LLC and Jeremiah Osterhoff, the company's owner, allegedly contracted with at least 62 Missourians in the Kansas City area for home remodeling and repair supplies but failed to provide the supplies. Consumer complaints alleged JD Global failed to deliver hot tub and shower units, delivered damaged shower and tub units, or provided products that did not function as promised.

"My office will work to protect consumers when they are cheated by fraudulent contractors," Koster said. "We encourage consumers to do their homework and request references when hiring individuals for home repair services."

Osterhoff has operated under multiple business names in Missouri, including DGN Products, MyBathUSA.com, My Bath Inc. and My Bath.biz.

Clay County Circuit Court Judge Janice Sutton entered a default judgment against JD Global LLC and Osterhoff, awarding $252,017.96 in damages as consumer restitution. Sutton also awarded $92,153.47 in prosecution costs and civil penalties. The total judgment against the defendants was $344,171.43.
