PHILADELPHIA (Legal Newsline) - Turner Construction must pay $270,000 in civil penalties for alleged violations of federal stormwater regulations, the Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday.
Turner is an international construction company based in New York City that has built the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia and the Charlotte Coliseum in North Carolina.
The EPA filed two Consent Agreements and Final Orders alleging that Turner and their Tompkins subsidiary violated their Clean Water Act permits.
The alleged violations occurred at 17 construction sites the companies operated in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C., the EPA said.
