N.H. AG says dentist's license suspended

Delaney

CONCORD, N.H. (Legal Newsline) - New Hampshire Attorney General Michael Delaney announced on Tuesday that the New Hampshire Board of Dental Examiners suspended the dental license of John J. Ryan.

The suspension of Ryan, who practiced in East Hampstead, became effective as of Friday. The action of the board is the result of an unannounced Thursday inspection of Ryan's practice.

The board ordered an inspection of the practice after learning that Ryan's practice allegedly failed to follow appropriate procedures for infection control. The board determined from the report that Ryan's practice as operated could pose a major threat to the safety and health of his patients.

On Friday, the board issued the emergency suspension and notice of hearing against Ryan. Under the terms of the order, Ryan's license was suspended immediately.

A board hearing related to Ryan's practice and license is scheduled for Sept. 10. The hearing will find whether Ryan's license will continue to remain suspended while the board looks into the matter.
