PHOENIX, Ariz. (Legal Newsline) - A third Democratic candidate announced a run for Arizona state attorney general Wednesday.

Vince Rabago is vying to succeed his boss, Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, who is widely expected to run for governor this year.

Rabago will resign as an assistant state attorney general Friday. He is former chairman of the Pima County Democratic Party.

Other Democrats running for AG are state Rep. David Lujan and former Financial Institutions Superintendent Felicia Rotellini.

Republican contenders in the Aug. 24 primary include Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas and state Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Horne.
