Van Hollen to throw out Brewers' first pitch

MADISON, Wis. (Legal Newsline) - Wisconsin Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen will throw out the first pitch at the Milwaukee Brewers game Tuesday, his office said.

Tuesday night's game is against the St. Louis Cardinals. Van Hollen its taking part in the game as part of the Badges for Baseball program.

The Milwaukee program is a partnership between Van Hollen, the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, the Milwaukee Police Association and other groups, aimed at helping hundreds of children in high-crime areas through mentoring and baseball coaching.

Badges for Baseball participants will be guests of the Milwaukee Brewers at Tuesday's game, the attorney general's office said.

"This partnership sets out to build relationships and mutual respect between children and law enforcement all while providing a structured setting of learning, curriculum and value of teamwork," the office's statement said.
