Cheney starts group warning of Obama Administration's 'dangerous policies'

Cheney

WASHINGTON (Legal Newsline) - On Wednesday former Vice President Dick Cheney and his daughter, Liz, announced the "launch of The Alliance for a Strong America, a 501(c)4 grassroots organization that will advocate for a restoration of American strength and power."

In addition to the Cheneys, the committee is "supported by citizens who are dedicated to the hard but necessary task of preserving freedom and restoring American strength and power in the wake of the Obama administration's national security failures," a press release states.

The organization's website, strongamerica.com, features a video of Dick and Liz.

"The policies of the last six years have left America diminished and weakened," Dick says in the video. "Our enemies no longer fear us. Our allies no longer trust us."

The former VP goes on to say Obama's policies "have put America on a path of decline" and that "threats to America's security on the rise."

Halfway through the video, Liz chimes in, saying, "We're forming the Alliance for Strong America because we know America's security depends on our ability to reverse President Obama's policies."

According to the organization's website, the alliance will:

-Advocate for the policies needed to restore American power and pre-eminence;

-Provide information to citizens, policymakers and candidates about the critical national security issues facing the nation;

-Explain the indispensable role America and American power must play in the world in order to defeat the broad array of threats we face today;

-Fight to restore the strength of America's military -- the greatest fighting force and the greatest force for good the world has ever known; and

-Ensure that national security issues are a critical part of America's national debate and discussion in the coming years and beyond.
