NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (Legal Newsline) - Superior Judge Ana C. Viscomi of Middlesex County, N.J., has been reassigned to manage the state's centralized asbestos litigation, beginning March 1.
The order was filed on Feb. 10 by New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice Stuart Rabner.
Middlesex County's asbestos docket was designated a mass tort rather than a multi-county litigation in an order dated July 10, 2012.
Judge Vincent LeBlon currently oversees the docket.
Viscomi, a resident of Red Bank, was transferred from the family law division to the civil division in order to carry out her new role.
She was originally nominated as a superior judge in 2012 by Governor Chris Christie.
