MADISON, Wis. (Legal Newsline) -- The race for Wisconsin attorney general is starting to get a little crowded.
According to the Milwaukee Wisconsin Journal Sentinel, Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne is "seriously considering" a run.
Ozanne, a Democrat, told the newspaper Friday he hasn't set a timeline for making a final decision.
The district attorney unsuccessfully brought a lawsuit to block Gov. Scott Walker's controversial Budget Repair Bill. The bill, proposed in response to state budget deficits, eliminated nearly all collective bargaining rights for public employee union members.
Ozanne claimed that the bill was the product of a violation of the state's Open Meetings Law.
A Dane County Circuit Court sided with Ozanne, but the state Supreme Court upheld the bill in June 2011.
Last week, state Rep. Jon Richards and Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel announced they are running for attorney general. Richards is a Democrat; Schimel is a Republican.
Current Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced earlier this month he will not seek a third term as the state's top lawyer.
