N.H. AG announces Medicaid settlement

Delaney1

CONCORD, N.H. (Legal Newsline) - New Hampshire Attorney General Michael Delaney announced a False Claims Act-related settlement Wednesday with a Nashua-based hospital that allegedly billed Medicaid improperly.

In 2012, Delaney's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit conducted a review of allegedly improper billing practices by Greater Nashua Mental Health Center. The billing practices were related to the facility's psychological rehabilitation services sector. The allegedly improper codes the facility used enabled the Greater Nashua Mental Health Center to receive payments from the Medicaid program the facility was not entitled to receive.

The billings occurred between 2008 and 2012.

Under the terms of the settlement, Greater Nashua Mental Health Center agreed to pay the state $54,281.76 to resolve the allegations of improper billing.
