Cool Air Solutions, a cooling and heating company, is being sued over allegations it called numbers registered on the federal Do Not Call Registry.
Robert Langford and Edward George Galan filed the lawsuit on March 6 against Cool Air, alleging the company violated federal law when it called the plaintiffs multiple times, even though they were both registered on the Do Not Call list.
The lawsuit said Galan had his phone number on the National Do Not Call List since August 2003, and Langford registered his number in May 2008. Both allege they never consented to allow Cool Air Solutions to contact them, but received several calls in March and April 2013 and in September 2014.
The plaintiffs seek class-action status for those who were registered on the list, but still received telemarketing phone calls from Cool Air Solutions. Additionally, the lawsuit seeks $500 for each “negligent violation” of federal law and $1,500 for each “knowing violation.”
