Attorney General Chris Koster announced a settlement with air purification company Fawe Enterprise, LLC on Wednesday over allegations it violated Missouri's no-call law.

Fawe Enterprise conducts business in the Rolla, Missouri, area under the name Air Essentials. The Attorney General's Office began investigating the company after receiving a dozen complaints from Missouri residents who received solicitation calls from the company, despite being on the state's no-call list.

"My office will continue to pursue businesses both in the state and throughout the country that bother Missouri consumers with unwanted solicitation calls," Koster said.

Air Essentials is prohibited from calling consumers on the no-call list without the consumers' direct permission, and will also pay $5,000 in fines, according to the terms of the agreement. The settlement was filed in the Phelps County Circuit Court.

Missouri residents can add their land line or cell phone numbers to Missouri's no-call list by calling 866-662-2551 or visiting www.ago.mo.gov. Residents who receive harassing solicitation calls are encouraged to call 866-289-9633 to file a complaint.
