Intext Recreation Corp. files complaint against Bestway Inc. for patent infringement

Intex Recreation Corp. (“Intex”) filed a suit against Bestway (USA), Inc. (“Bestway”) Dec. 9 in the Indiana Southern District Court, citing patent infringement.

Intex owns all rights and interest in the 474 Patent titled “Inflatable Flotation Device Having Removable Canopy.” Intex claims that Bestway violated the 474 Patent by selling its UV Careful™ Baby Care Seats and that Bestway was selling the “Inflatable Flotation Device Having Removable Canopy” at Amazon.com and Kmart.

Intex is seeking to recover damages from 474 Patent infringement, as well as a permanent injunction against Bestway from making, using, selling or offering for sale in the United States, or importing into the United States, any and all products and/or services embodying the patented inventions claimed in the 474 Patent.

Intex is being represented by R. Trevor Carter and Trenton B. Morton of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP in Indianapolis.
