JCPenney to fork out $50 million to settle class action over alleged deceptive discount pricing

Class members can decide whether to receive a cash payment or store credit as part of a tentative agreement reached earlier this month. Class counsel is seeking nearly 30 percent of the settlement amount in fees, plus other costs and payments.
