Another lawsuit claims Folgers lies

MIAMI (Legal Newsline) – At least the second class action lawsuit has been filed against the Folger Coffee Company over its claims about how many cups of coffee it makes.

Marcia Sorin filed her lawsuit June 4 in Florida federal court against Folgers and parent company J.M. Smucker.

Folgers makes representations about the number of servings its containers provide in order to spur sales and disadvantage competitors who do not make similar claims,” the lawsuit says.

“The result of this is that Florida consumers overpay, as they do not receive the amount of coffee servings Folgers represents to be present in the container, to the detriment of the consumer.”

Sorin is represented by Komlossy Law, the Paskowitz Law Firm, Roy Jacobs & Associates and Law Offices of Beth A. Keller. Their case is similar to one filed in California a couple of weeks earlier by different lawyers.
