JACKSON LEWIS: Lori D. Bauer Recognized on the 2019 Notable Women in Law List by Crain's New York Business

Jackson Lewis P.C., one of the country’s preeminent workplace law firms, is pleased to announce Lori D. Bauer has been selected for inclusion on the 2019 Notable Women in Law list published by Crain’s New York Business. According to Crain’s, the list celebrates attorneys who have impacted New York City in major ways. It honors the achievements of the brightest and boldest legal minds; those with both distinguished careers and exceptional civic and philanthropic activities.

Ms. Bauer is the Office Managing Principal of the New York City office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She served as the office’s litigation manager for nine years before being elevated to Office Managing Principal in May 2018. Ms. Bauer has extensive experience counseling management on a wide variety of employment matters and handling litigation disputes on behalf of employers before administrative agencies and state and federal courts.

Ms. Bauer’s litigation practice includes the defense of employers in single and multi-plaintiff actions in state and federal court on claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of contract, retaliation, and violation of whistle-blower protections, wage and hour laws, family medical leave laws, wrongful discharge and related tort claims. Ms. Bauer counsels management on personnel matters, disability management, and reductions in force and frequently conducts management training for employers on a wide variety of employment law topics, including, EEO/anti-harassment, FMLA, ADA and privacy issues.

This is the second consecutive year a Jackson Lewis attorney has been honored for their legal achievements by Crain’s New York Business. In 2018, Linda R. Carlozzi was named to the Leading Women Lawyers in New York City list.
