CHICAGO (Legal Newsline) — A consumer has filed a class action lawsuit against Nissan North America Inc., a vehicle manufacturer, alleging product liability.

John Anglin filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on June 5 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Nissan North America alleging that the car maker manufactured and sold a defective vehicle to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from purchasing an Infiniti vehicle that had issues with the paint job. The plaintiff holds Nissan responsible because it allegedly failed to repair plaintiff's paint job, which had changed from white to gray because of peeling and delamination, despite being aware of the defects.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and compensatory damages, injunction against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Myles McGuire, Eugene Y. Turin and David L. Gerbie of McGuire Law P.C. in Chicago.
