ATLANTA (Legal Newsline) — A Georgia law firm has filed a class action lawsuit against a Michigan legal consulting company, alleging violation of telephone harassment statutes.
Hormozdi Law Firm LLC of Gwinnett County, Georgia, filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated May 10 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against RDAP Law Consultants LLC, alleging the defendant sent unsolicited facsimiles to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, in early May, Hormozdi Law suffered damages from being sent a one-page fax advertisement from RDAP Law Consultants without the plaintiff's permission.
Hormozdi Law seeks trial by jury, $500 in statutory damages for each violation, treble damages, enjoin the defendant, attorney fees and all other legal and equitable relief. They are represented by attorney Charles M. Clapp of Atlanta.
