NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) — An individual has filed a class-action lawsuit against Time Warner, Inc.; Jeffrey L. Bewkes; James L. Barksdale; William P. Barr; Robert C. Clark; Mathias Dopfner; Jessica P. Einhorn; Carlos M. Gutierrez; Fred Hassan; Paul D. Wachter and Deborah C. Wright, citing alleged violation of federal law.

Richard G. Collura filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against the company and its officers, alleging that they issued proxy statements to the common stock holders of the company.

According to the complaint, Collura alleges that he sustained damages from being given inaccurate statements about the proposed merger with AT&T Inc. He holds Time Warner, Bewkes, Barksdale, Barr, Clark, Dopfner, Einhorn, Gutierrez, Hassan, Wachter and Wright responsible because they allegedly sent incomplete and misleading statements in order for the common stockholders to approve of the proposed transaction.

Collura requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendants from consummating or closing the proposed transaction until they disclose the material information, rescissory damages, interest, court costs, all legal fees and any other relief this court grants. He is represented by Michael B. Ershowsky of Levi & Korsinsky, LLP in New York City.
