PEPPER HAMILTON LLP: Pepper Hamilton Honored at Legal Services of New Jersey's Equal Justice Awards

Pepper Hamilton LLP issued the following announcement on June 19.

Pepper Hamilton was awarded the Equal Justice Medal at Legal Services of New Jersey’s Equal Justice Awards, held on June 3. The firm’s Princeton office was recognized as a major contributor of pro bono legal assistance and honored for its work with Central Jersey Legal Services, which serves Mercer, Middlesex and Union counties.

Attorneys in Pepper’s Princeton office volunteer their time to assist Central Jersey Legal Services with intake for its tenants’ rights project, which represents low-income individuals facing eviction, unsafe housing conditions, foreclosure and other housing issues. A Pepper team of Melissa A. Chuderewicz, Matthew R. Cali, Corey M. Scher, Cynthia Anne DeLisi, Yuliya Benina, Audrey D. Wisotsky, Gregory J. Rubis, Susan Ferrara, Malinda R. Steeb and Rachel A. Mynhier has contributed more than 100 pro bono hours to the project.

The Equal Justice Awards were held at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey. In addition to being honored for its work with Central Jersey Legal Services, Pepper’s Princeton office was also recognized at the event as a major contributor to South Jersey Legal Services for the firm’s longtime work on children’s SSI pro bono projects.

“We were honored to receive this award from Legal Services of New Jersey,” Ms. Chuderewicz said. “Pro bono service is an important part of our culture in the Princeton office, as well as firmwide, and our work is a real team effort that crosses practice groups.”
