The global law firm Jones Day announces that Erin Sindberg Porter has joined the Firm’s Minneapolis Office as a partner in its Business & Tort Litigation Practice.
An experienced trial lawyer with more than a decade of experience litigating complex commercial cases, Ms. Sindberg Porter has counseled clients facing civil litigation, criminal prosecutions, and government investigations.
"Adding a proven litigator like Erin to our team brings additional depth to what is already a very strong practice," said John Majoras, who co-leads Jones Day's Business & Tort Litigation Practice. "Her work in both state and federal courts has been exemplary and that experience will benefit our clients across industries, as well as in Minneapolis and beyond. Ms. Sindberg Porter's specific representations have included advising clients facing mortgage repurchase claims, where she defended the originators and sellers of mortgage loans against banks and other investors demanding repurchase and indemnification. She has also represented Fortune 500 companies in complex business tort cases, including multi-district litigation and class actions.
