Trophy

Armstrong Teasdale issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.

Armstrong Teasdale, a law firm with offices across the United States, proudly announces that Associate Martin Estevao has been named to Law Week Colorado’s Up and Coming class of 2018.

The Up and Coming Awards specifically acknowledge lawyers within their first five years of practice who have accomplished great things in law in the past year. Law Week Colorado also takes volunteerism and pro bono work into consideration.

“Martin’s dedication and proactive approach to finding solutions for his clients are certainly deserving of recognition,” said Meshach Rhoades, partner and Inclusion Committee co-chair at Armstrong Teasdale. “He has handled regulatory matters for some of the largest companies in the country, and his work product is particularly impressive. We’re proud of Martin’s accomplishments and look forward to witnessing many more in the future.”

Estevao, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, handles disputes, regulatory matters and government relations challenges across a wide range of complex issues in multiple industries around the country. He develops forward-thinking, business-oriented legal strategies to achieve commercial objectives while reducing risk, enhancing company reputations, and promoting cooperation with federal, state and local government agencies. Estevao frequently litigates in state and federal courts, and also advises clients on strategic alternative resolutions with a focus on cost productivity and preserving long-term business relationships.

In addition, Estevao has assisted companies with statutory and regulatory compliance issues relating to food and beverages, food packaging and equipment, component parts and raw materials, industrial equipment, personal banking, telecommunications, health care and other consumer products and services. He has extensive experience in dairy regulation and has advised manufacturers, distributors and retailers with respect to a variety of finished and unprocessed products regulated by the Food and Drug Administration and state departments of health and agriculture. Estevao regularly represents Fortune 100 corporations and other companies before such agencies nationwide, and provides effective and efficient counsel on government relations, licensing, safety and risk management, advertising and marketing, labeling, product recalls, sales promotions, franchise law, Prop 65 compliance, employment matters and general supply chain issues. He also provides guidance in business transactions and contractual matters that involve a heavy regulatory or technical component.

Estevao also counsels clients in various real estate matters, particularly as they apply to property complexes regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and local housing authorities. In this capacity, he assists with regulatory compliance, government relations, property sales, management issues, property inspections and lease disputes.
