California law firm owner alleges FindLaw did not deliver services promised

POMONA, Calif. (Legal Newsline) – The owner of a law office headquartered in Glendale, California alleges that that an online legal information and marketing services company failed to deliver the services she paid for.

Maro Burunsuzyan filed a complaint on June 25 in the Los Angeles County Superior Court against FindLaw, an assumed name of West Publishing Corp., doing business as West, a Thomason Reuters Business; and Does 1-20 alleging breach of written contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, on June 23, 2015, Burunsuzyan entered into written contract with defendants with regard to computerized and internet-based marketing. The plaintiff claims he paid the monthly fee of $5,758.75 for multiple times despite the fact that she did not receive the services as agreed. 

Furthermore, the plaintiff alleges she also paid $1,400 for a second Land Flow Silver contract which came with the promise she would receive 120 good faith leads in a 12-month period from the defendants. She alleges the leads provided to her were insufficient had bad phone numbers.

The plaintiff holds FindLaw, an assumed name of West Publishing Corp. and Does 1-20 responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to optimize searches for legal services, failed to manage paid advertising, failed to deliver visibility of her law firm and failed to provide a paid search campaign landing page.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for economic damages in the amount of $101,178.74, attorney's fees, costs of suit, and for such other and further relief as the court may deem proper. She is represented by David L. Scott of Law Offices of Maro Burunsuzyan in Glendale, California.
