Consumer claims Center Theatre Group of Los Angeles solicited him without consent

LOS ANGELES (Legal Newsline) – A Santa Ana, California consumer alleges that he was unlawfully contacted by a theater show and ticket company for solicitation purposes.

Frank Gutierrez filed a complaint individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated on Nov. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California against Center Theatre Group of Los Angeles and Does 1-10 alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was contacted by the Center Theatre Group of Los Angeles beginning in November 2015 to solicit its services. The plaintiff alleges that the calls were made using an automatic telephone dialing system and that he has never provided his number to the defendant.

The plaintiff holds Center Theatre Group of Los Angeles and Does 1-10 responsible because the defendants allegedly contacted the plaintiff without his consent.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendant for statutory damages of $500 and treble damages of $1,500 for each and every violation, and all other relief that the court deems just and proper.
