NEW YORK (Legal Newsline) – Three former employees of a Spring Valley, New York company allege they are owed unpaid overtime wages.
Jose Pagan, Luis Mercado and Anthony Taylor filed a complaint on behalf of themselves and all others similarly situated on Aug. 3 in New York Supreme Court for the County of Rockland against Bug Runner Exterminating Co. and Doug Siegel citing New York Labor Law.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they regularly worked more than 40 hours per week for the defendants and were not paid overtime wages. The plaintiffs hold Bug Runner Exterminating Co and Doug Siegel responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay their employees any overtime wages at the legal rate of one-and-one-half times the regular hourly rate for hours worked that exceeds 40 hours per week and failed to provide statements that listed hours worked and rates paid.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek all compensation, unpaid overtime compensation, interest and all legal fees. They are represented by D. Christopher Mason of Mason Law PLLC in New York City.
The defendant removed the case to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Sept. 8.
