CHICAGO (Legal Newsline) — Two Illinois consumers have filed a class action lawsuit against Menard, alleging fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and unjust enrichment.
Michael Fuchs and Vladislav Krasilnikov filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of a class of similarly situated individuals, March 3 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Menard, Inc. alleging the home improvement store put incorrect dimensions on its lumber products.
According to the complaint, Fuchs and Krasilnikov were damaged monetarily from purchasing lumber products that were smaller than the advertised dimensions. The plaintiffs allege Menard deceives consumers by putting incorrect dimensions on their products and receiving significant profits from its sales.
The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, actual or compensatory damages, disgorgement, injunctive relief, court costs and all other relief the court grants. They are represented by attorneys Myles McGuire, Evan M. Meyers and Eugene Y. Turin of McGuire Law, PC in Chicago.
