Nordstrom sued over pricing

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Legal Newsline) — An Alaska woman filed a class action lawsuit against Nordstrom, alleging fraud and negligent misrepresentation.

Maureen Keating filed a complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Feb. 16 in U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska against Nordstrom Inc., alleging the defendant wrongfully advertises to consumers that its sell its items at discounted prices.

According to the complaint, Keating was misled into purchasing a scarf that was advertised as discounted. The plaintiff alleges upon a check of the items, Keating noticed the savings did not reflect the same amount as was promised online.

Keating seeks to enjoin the defendant, restore to the public all funds, punitive damages, court costs and all further relief the court grants. She is represented by attorney Jason Skala of Law Office of Jason Skala, LLC in Anchorage.
