YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (Legal Newsline) — Four consumers are suing a glue business, alleging design defect and product liability.

Robert Machel, Yolanda Santillan, Nasrullah Mohamedali and Randall Painter filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Dec. 29 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio against Ontel Products Corp. alleging the defendant made false claims regarding the effectiveness of its glue products.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs suffered monetary damages from purchasing a falsely advertised product described as a premium alternative to household glues and superglues. The plaintiffs allege Ontel Products continued to market and advertise their product despite having several complaints from consumers regarding its defective nature.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, actual, general, special, incidental, statutory, punitive and consequential damages, plus interest, injunctive relief, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Daniel R. Karon and Beau D. Hollowell of Karon LLC in Cleveland and by Daniel O. Herrera of Cafferty, Combs, Meriwether and Sprengal LLP in Chicago, .
