SAN FRANCISCO (Legal Newsline) — Eight consumers from around the country are suing Comcast, alleging breach of contract, unfair competition and unjust enrichment.

Dan Adkins, Jonathan Bailey, Reinier Broker, James McLaughlin, Nola Palmer, Christopher Robertson, Derek Villegas and Dale Wynn filed a class action complaint, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated, Oct. 15 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California against Comcast Corporation, alleging false and misleading advertisements regarding the defendant's services.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs suffered monetary damages from being misled into purchasing services that were promised by Comcast at a flat rate. The plaintiffs allege Comcast deceived customers and applied bogus charges on their bill.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, permanently enjoining the defendant, restitution, disgorgement, actual damages, punitive, exemplary and treble damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief the court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Daniel M. Hattis of Hattis Law in Bellevue, Washington, and by Jason Skaggs of Skaggs Faucette LLP in Palo Alto, California.
