GREEN BAY, Wis. (Legal Newsline) — The manufacturer of Jeetops is suing Dow Chemical, alleging alleging intentional misrepresentation.

Chris Hinrichs of Delafield, Wisconsin, and Autovation Limited filed a lawsuit Sept. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin against Dow Chemical Company, doing business as Dow Automotive alleging violation of Wisconsin law.

According to the complaint, in October 2014, Hinrichs and Autovation Limited suffered financial damage to their business when one-third of all JeeTops panels, the skytop panels built for Jeep Wranglers that uses Dow's adhesive system, failed and caused the panel to leak and then crack or fracture. The suit says the plaintiffs have suffered further financial injuries when their ability to sell JeeTops panels was destroyed because of the failure of Dow's adhesive system.

The plaintiffs allege Dow misrepresented its adhesive system would perform appropriately when used on the acrylic when employed in the JeeTops panels.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, for damages to be determined at trial, attorney fees, court costs and all other relief.
